Starting to feel well again!!

Do I dare say it out loud? I am a little afraid that if I do I will jinx the whole thing....but here it goes!

Today is day 4 of me feeling good!!!!! ;0) I know I am shocked as well!! lol I will catch you up over the last few days.

Sunday- I haven't been to church in a few months, since Hiccup has kept me occupied with lying in bed nauseous 24/7. So I have really been wanting to go, and get back to my old self. I decided to try sacrament meeting which is only an hour, and I was thinking I could survive it I think. So we went, I didn't get to sick, and I survived. I was a little nauseous at the end, but I did not humiliate myself in front of the congregation by losing my breakfast. ;0)
After Sacrament, I really needed something to eat. Lately Cheeseburgers have really been hitting the spot for me. lol So we went home and Chuck changed out of his suit, and we headed to McDonald's. Then we got back in my car, and headed to El Cerrito. I love my car a lot, but I noticed it doesn't ride nearly as smooth as the Yukon does, and I get a lot more car sick in the Honda (Isabella..or Izzy) than I do in the Yukon (Lola)..Yes we name our cars. lol So I took my barf bag, and we headed out to the coast for a book signing!! I was really excited that I was able to go. I really am enjoying Melissa Stiefvater's writing. She was really fun to listen to, and very nice. I wish I would have thought to get a picture with her, but alas I forgot. So I got 3 of her 5 books signed. The book store didn't think to stock up on her books for her signing....and ran out! So I did get her newest book signed, and two from another series she writes. But I still need to get two more.....Luckily she signed a lot of stock at another book store, and so I will buy from them. ;0)
After the signing we headed home. I have figured out that I do better in slow traffic, but freeway traffic really makes me sick. lol Chuck said we were invited to a BBQ at someones house that is in the church that evening, and so I was feeling semi well, and so we headed over. The food was really good, and the little cheesecake bites afterwards sent me into complete bliss!!!! ;0) We headed home, where I collapsed in bed snoring happily!

Monday- I woke feeling good again. I know it was a shocker for me to! I mean really two days in a row where I feel good? It's almost unheard of! lol So I got up and made some breakfast. Yes I had waffles with pears and bananas! lol I was worried that me feeling well was a fluke, and the next day I would be back to my sick old self.....so I decided to overdue it as much as possible, and try to reclaim my house! I got a load of dishes done, started some laundry, and vacuumed the living room. Then Chuck came home for a short visit, and brought Hiccup and I some Krispy Kreme doughnuts!! I haven't had those in ages.....and felt like I was in heaven!! Chuck had to go back to work, and I felt I needed to as well. I fed and watered the dogs and birds, and then started another load of dishes. I dusted the living room, and changed over the laundry. I also managed to clean out the fridge!! I listened to a new band I really like called Detektivbyrån My favorite song is E18. Their music is relaxing and yet fun at the same time. I always feel like I am in a circus when I hear it. If you have iTunes, check it out, or look them up on youtube. I feel like I got a lot accomplished. Chuck came home from work happy that I had finally gotten something accomplished in the house. lol And when he was done making a new pen in the garage.....he made my first pregnancy craving run to the store.....I was craving Spaghettio's! Yah I know it was really random! lol I had also felt that I was well enough to start taking all of my vitamins again. So that night I took my evening pills which included two rather large fish oil pills. Fish oil is the most rancid stuff ever! And.....it always makes me burp the nasty taste.....yuck! Well I took all my pills, and was still feeling pretty good. I decided to hit up the little girls room one last time before bed, I got up, made it halfway across the room, and lost my dinner due to the taste of fish oil!! ;0( So not cool! And what a way to end my perfect day! lol go figure

Tuesday- I woke up with a huge headache....and unfortunately had it the entire day.....but I still felt pretty good. I felt really tired the entire day, and had a really hard time motivating myself to get going. I opened the windows, and forced myself to do one load of dishes. Then my Scentsy kit came in the mail, and I spent the rest of the day playing with that! I had so much fun with it, and made myself pretty sick smelling all the different smells over and over. lol Then Chuck came home, and I did it again....I had to show him all the scents! lol
I got my first two sales for Scentsy and I am halfway to my goal!!! I thought I had to sell $500, but I need 500 points. Which isn't much of a difference. I get one point per dollar spent. So I am at 269 points right now out of 500!!! I have to reach my goal by August 6th!! If I reach my goal, I then get 10 warmers, for the price of 6. So I pretty much get $100 profit from it after selling them! ;0) That's good.

Wednesday- Well so far so good, although I have been lying in bed now wide awake for 2 1/2 hours being completely lazy! lol I need to get up now and be productive, but it feels so good to be all cozy in bed and not have to hear the construction going on outside!! ;0)

So that is all that is happening here at Casa Chaos lately! lol I was told that I won't find out what we are having until Sept 15th!!! And that really bums me out....Even though my books say you can now see what baby is. So I am going to see if we can find a 3D ultrasound tech that won't make us pay an arm and a leg, and possibly our first born.... If we can do the 3D, then we can find out sooner. I have heard it is about $100 and hope it isn't more than that, because that is already a lot. ;0)

If you haven't checked out my website.....go ahead and try it out. If you have questions about it, go ahead and text me, e-mail me, or give me a call. I promise you will really enjoy this stuff. Some of the scents are so light and mild that they are just perfect and relaxing! I am ordering some smaller samples that I can mail to you if you are really interested....And you can also have your own basket party if you want. If you really think about it, it is the better and cheaper way to go. I really like Salt City, and Yankee candles, but for each large one, you pay $25-$30...for Scentsy...You pay $15-$30 for the warmer, and only $5 for each scent. And there are 8 cubes per bar! ;0) I think it is really worth it. And if you are like me, and forget to blow out candles......there is no flame with these, and you won't burn your home down!

I love you all

Bar's are $5 a piece, or 6 for $25 They last for quite a while, and you can mix and match scents!!! ;0)

Check out my website and ask me any questions that you have!!

Scentsy

So I decided to become a Scentsy consultant to help out with things a little at home.

Scentsy wickless candles are amazing. You can leave them burning and run to the store and not have to worry about burning down the house. If your child pulls it down....The wax can hurt, but it is so mile, that it really doesn't burn. If it spills on the carpet, it can come right up with a cloth and an iron.

I love this stuff. You can have small plugin warmer for the kitchen and bathroom, or you can have a larger warmer for bigger rooms. These are great, and at $5 a bar you can't go wrong!!!

Please check out my website, and indulge a little....I promise you will enjoy it. And don't forget these make great gifts!!! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks and love you all

Hiccup's Nuchal Translucency test

So yesterday was Hiccup's first big test! We decided to call our little Viking Hiccup from the movie How to train your Dragon. We love Hiccup, and thought it to be a fitting name for our baby until we find out what we are really having.

So we had to get up Uber early so I could get ready, puke if needed and get out the door on time. lol

We found the John Muir facility easy enough, and went up to the 3rd floor for our appointment. By the time we got to the Dr.'s I wasn't feeling so well. I started to feel really nauseous and just wanted to go lay down and relax. But alas I needed to stick it out for the visit. As the time wore on.....women kept coming into the office and were being taken back for their appointment while I still sat in the most uncomfortable chair ever. I started to get so sick I couldn't hold still. I surveyed the room and found only one tiny garbage can in the room, and the public bathroom was out of order on that floor!!! How can you have a floor of crazy pregnant ladies and not have a bathroom available for them?

Well as time wore on and the time for my appointment came and went....I was really getting to be bad. I looked around the room and decided I needed to sit on the floor and that would help me feel a little better. For some reason right now I cannot sit up for very long. Laying down, and leaning back are about all I can accomplish.

Just when I thought I had reached my limit, my tech came and called me back. I remember my reaction time was getting pretty slow by then, so I slowly stood up, and Chuck got my things, and I waddled over to where the Tech was waiting for me. I feel like a soda pop bottle most of the time. To much jostling, or shaking and I will burst. My Tech, Ali looked at me and asked if I was all right. I just looked at him and said I'm trying not to puke. So he waisted no time and got me on the table and laid me down. I was worried I was going to have to have the wand again for my exam since I am still not that far along.....but my wonderful Tech just poured about half a bottle of jelly on my tummy and went to town with a normal ultrasound. ;0)

Almost immediately I started to feel better, and was able to enjoy my ultrasound. I was hoping to take a picture or video of the whole thing, but alas.....the Tech put his hand in front of it when I did it, and told me no. ;0( Blast!!! So we started looking at Hiccup, and I was so happy to see how big he was since the last time I saw him. He was jumping and kicking, but he was at the wrong angle for the tech to measure him. So out of nowhere without any warning......the Tech takes the ultrasound thing and jabs it into my stomach back and forth really fast to make Hiccup move. I was surprised and caught off guard by this! lol I mean come on man I feel fat enough, I don't need ya to make waves with my belly fat! lol

So Hiccup wasn't to pleased with the jolt the Tech gave him, and so each time the tech would do that......Hiccup would push back or kick back. But he was not about turning over! lol The Tech had me sit up, lay down, he tilted the table so I was almost upside down, and then sitting back up, then down, then laying slanted. I wanted to ask him if he would like me to do a somersault or something. ha ha ha

This jolting of my belly went on for an hour! And Hiccup was being extremely stubborn. Finally he said let's take a break. I had to sigh in relief because my stomach was getting sore, and each time he would sit me up, I would almost toss my cookies! So he brought in someone who took my blood. I warned her that my veins roll, and that a lot of people have a hard time drawing my blood. She kind of laughed and dismissed whatever I said. She stuck me with a needle, and it didn't even hurt. I was so surprised!!! I mean normally it kinda hurts a little. I would know, I am like a human pin cushion!! But she got it all hooked up, popped the bottle in, and I started to give blood.....but alas she only got a little before my vein decided it wasn't going to give her any more! lol Go figure....I can't do anything easy! lol

So after the blood drawing the Tech went back to jabbing me in the stomach for about 20 more minutes before he finally got all the measurements he needed. Then the Dr. came in, and she showed us the two hands, and two feet. We also got to see the brain and such. It was so awesome to say baby Hiccup, and it was extremely entertaining to see him be so stubborn. I mean aren't the rumours true? Difficult baby....easy teenager, and easy baby is a difficult teenager? So I am fine with Hiccup being stubborn for now. lol

The Dr. was very appreciative for Chuck being in the Military, and so printed us a ton of photos! Chuck was even so proud, he hung one at his work. ;0)

Here are the pics of Hiccup at 13 weeks.....The first day of my second trimester!!! ;0)

Love you all

Ballad by Maggie Stiefvater

So I finished her first book in a day, and then moved onto her next book and read that one in 24 hours. ;0) The second book I liked a lot more, and am wondering if she will write a third book to go with it. Hmmmmm

So the story continues with most of the same characters.....and we are introduced to a new one as well that I really learned to like a lot.

I recommend this book for a fun easy twinkie read!

So how ya been feeling lately?

Not much has changed in the last few weeks. I am still ridiculously tired, and nauseous. Although I can tell a slight difference in how I feel.

You know people say that this passes after the first Trimester, but I am really wondering if us Super women just get used to feeling crappy and just don't notice it as much. lol

My first Tri is over soon.... ;0)

I have an appointment on Tuesday to do some tests, give some blood, and check into the hospital so I have a room when the time comes for baby to arrive.

Not much else is going on. Love you all

Lament by Maggie Stiefvater

Last year when I went to the book signing for the 5th book in the Septimus Heap series by Angie Sage, I hung back at the end of the line to let all the kids get their books signed first. While I was waiting I was talking to the woman who was running the event and she asked me what I was currently reading. I told her the Wicked Lovely series which I was really enjoying. Her face lit up and she said if you like that series, then you will love Lament and Ballad by Maggie Stiefvater. She ran and got one of the books, and I took a pic of it so I could find it when I wanted to buy it. She said it was really good, and about Fey.

So now I just got around to reading it and I have to say it was pretty good. Now the writing style wasn't great. Some of it I just rolled my eyes at because it was so lame? It just seemed like the person writing didn't have to much experience with it. It was cheesy at times with the descriptions. But the story line itself was pretty good. It was slow to get started, but once you got into it...it turned out really good. I couldn't sleep one night and so was up all night reading from start to finish. lol

I recommend this book, as it was fun and entertaining.

Bounty Hunter Review

I was pretty excited to see this movie. It looked pretty funny. So finally it came out on DVD and PPV. Chuck and I settled into bed to watch, and loved the entire movie.

Bounty Hunter is about a very successful reporter, and a Bounty Hunter who is not doing so well with his life. You see Milo (Gerard Butler) Used to be married to Nicole (Jennifer Aniston). They decided they no longer loved each other and divorced. Almost a year later, Milo drank himself off the police force, and Nicole had moved up and become very good at her job reporting.

Nicole gets herself in a little bit of trouble and fails to appear in court for a ticket. So a bench warrant is issued and what do you know.....Milo receives the call to bring her in.

Things do not go as easily for either of them as Milo tries to bring Nicole in for bail and receive $5,000 that he needs to pay towards a gambling debt that he is past due on and the bad guys are after him trying to collect.

Nicole is onto a huge story that she thinks is a murder but the cops are trying to cover up as a suicide. The bad guys involved with that are trying to shut her up.

So Milo and Nicole embark on a journey together running from the bad guys in their life, while fighting each other. They have to start working together to stay out of trouble and alive.

I highly recommend this movie. It is very funny and some good entertainment.
I give this movie a 3 out of 5 stars.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series

So I wasn't sure I was going to like this series, but I thought why not I will give it a try.

I read 5 books in just barely over 5 days. They were very easy to read, and cute. Now don't get me wrong they were not wow or great. But they were really cute, and a fun read. I really like Greek Mythology and so found the books pretty entertaining. ;0) I recommend reading the series for fun. You really aren't out anything, and they are pretty entertaining.

When in Rome Review

I was pretty excited to see this movie. It looked like a cute comedy, and it really was.

When in Rome is about a young girl (Beth) who is a workaholic. She is very dedicated and good at her job. She always tells people that the reason she doesn't have a boyfriend is because she doesn't want it to distract from her job. And that she will have a boyfriend when she finds a guy she likes more than her job.

Her little sister shows up one day and says she is getting married in Rome the next week. Oh and she has only known this guy for 2 weeks. So she travels to Rome and is the maid of honor. She has some funny moments during the reception, and happens to meet a very handsome guy who is also one of the groomsmen.

When she decides that he isn't the guy for her, she gets a little to tipsy, and steals some coins out of the fountain of Love! Well as the story goes.....if you take someone else's coins out of the fountain they will fall in love with you. So now Beth has four coins she took from the fountain, and four guys strongly pursuing her....Some in a very stalker-ish way.

Beth finds out about the curse from the fountain and sets out to set things right. In the process she must figure out if one of them is really in love with her, or just blinded by the curse.

It is a very fun and entertaining movie. I highly recommend it as a relaxing fun movie. I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars! Enjoy!!

Percy Jackson and the Litghtning Thief Review

I was disappointed when I couldn't see this movie in theaters. So when I found out it was coming out on DVD and PPV I was pretty excited. I mean finally I could see it. So Chuck and I had a date night. We crawled in bed and watched the movie.

Percy is a Half Blood or a Demigod. He is the son of Poseidon, but he doesn't know yet. He has always thought he was just a delinquent kid who had ADHD, was dyslexic, and always caused trouble. Little does he know that his best friend Grover is a Satyr, and his favorite teacher is a Centaur. Soon his world takes a major turn.

Percy gets framed for stealing Zeus's thunderbolt, and goes on a journey to find out what happened and save his mother.

The movie overall was pretty cute. It is very juvenile, and you can tell it is really made for a younger crowd. I just started reading the book series and love the first one. I am sad however that the movie didn't even begin to follow the book.

I give the movie an overall 3.5 out of 5 stars.

Valentine's Day movie review

So once again Chuck had to stay over at work, so I opted to keep myself company by watching a PPV movie.

Valentines day has several well known actors in it, and was a pretty good movie. It was fun to watch, and I would recommend this movie only for girls. It didn't really have a lot of umph for men.

The movie rotates around several people who are in a way all tied to each other on Valentine's day. Some are happy and blissfully in love, and some have no idea what is about to hit them. Some of the characters break up, some have heartbreak, and some end up with what they want. I found it to be cute and entertaining, but I would not waste my money on buying it.

Overall I give the movie a 2 1/2 almost 3 out of 5 stars.

The Imagenarium of Doctor Parnassus Review

So lately Chuck has had to spend a few nights at work. So one night I thought I would order a PPV movie. There were a few I had seen and a few I wanted to see. I decided to settle for one I thought Chuck wouldn't really care to see. So I ordered The Imagenarium. I had heard a little buzz about this one. On how Heath Ledger was almost done filming it when he died, and how several other actors had stepped up and offered their services to take his place in the film so that it could continue.

It started out a little weird, and never really got normal. It was fun and weird. Not don't get me wrong I would not recommend that you spend any money on this. But if you have the opportunity to see it for free, and you have nothing better to do with your life...then go for it.

The movie was able to move around Heath Ledger's death just fine, and the actors that replaced him in certain scenes did a good job. But overall I found the movie bizarre.

The movie is about an old traveling carnival in modern times. They get around by horse and carriage. The get volunteers to go onstage, and then once the volunteer passes through the mirror on the stage they are in Dr. Parnassus imagination. Dr. Parnassus made a deal with the devil to be immortal if he collects souls for the devil. So once the person is in his immagenarium they have a choice to make. It is kind of like will they make the right or wrong choice?

The carnival finds and saves a man one night from hanging to death. (Heath Ledger) He in turn helps Dr. Parnassus collect souls to save his daughter from belonging to the devil when she turns 16.

Overall I give the movie a 1 1/2 out of 5 stars. I wouldn't waste my time on this one folks.

First Dr. Appointment

So on Thursday July 1st I had my first appointment. I had a really hard time trying to get a Dr. who would see me, and my insurance would accept. This Dr. was the 6th one I had contacted. and finally they didn't turn me down, and my insurance decided to cooperate for once. Yeaghhhh!

But now I was really worried. I was scared my Dr. would be awful, and not really care about me, and that I wouldn't be able to find another one. My appointment was at 3:30 and we showed up about 5 minutes early. I am very happy we didn't show up any sooner, because that would have been a waste. I was a little stressed out, and so I forgot my water bottle and it was hotter than hades that day. Not having water started to take a toll on me, and I felt like I was withering away. There was no drinking fountain around, and we had to fight to get our parking space so there was no running out to get one either.

An hour later we were finally called back for our appointment. Yah we sat there for about an hour waiting. Then we had to sit there even longer waiting. I have to whine for a moment. When you tell someone to get undressed and you only give them a little paper drape to cover themselves with.....don't make them sit there for half an hour...

So the Dr. finally came in and I started to asses him. I know that sounds harsh, and I usually take whatever crap doctor my ins. gives me....but not this time. Whatever Dr. I get this time is going to be good to me, I am going to like them, and they will take good care of my baby! Wow I feel a little mean momma bear coming out already! lol

The Dr. started to ask me questions, and it seemed for the most part he was listening. Then his cell phone rang and he said he had to answer it to see if his computer was going to live or die. I looked at my husband and rolled my eyes. But hey let's give him the benefit of the doubt I mean maybe it was his work computer, and he desperately needs it. ha ha ha

So then of course he tells me to lay back and then said the classic "Skooch down." that the Dr. always says. lol I had asked in advance if I would have an exam, and they told me no. I was happy because I avoid those things like I do cleaning my house! lol He asked me when the last itme I had one was and I said "A while, I really try to avoid them." He looked at me and said how long? I said a few years. So then he told me that wouldn't do and I would have to have one. BLAST!!! I thought I was getting out of that one. I mean really we have all this amazing technology in the world and women still have to undergo exams like that and Mammograms! Is there no justice in the world? I mean really it is cruelty! lol

Finally they pulled the ultrasound machine around, and it started. At first I was like all right no big deal I have seen a million ultrasound pictures before, and this is no different. But then I saw my baby kick and then start rubbing his face!!! (I do not know if it is a boy or girl yet, but am just saying he instead of it.) All right I started to cry a little. I didn't expect to feel like that, and I still feel like I am a little shocked. I mean it was just a silly picture, but once I saw the baby move...it became very real for me. It became my baby. It was amazing to see. And I had been so stressed about worrying if my baby would have a heart beat or not, that when I saw the little fluttering of the heart, I just melted. I felt such a relief at seeing that.

I didn't feel rushed, and I felt that I was able to ask my Dr. all the questions that I wanted to. He seemed a Little frumpy....like his clothes were to big for him, and he slouched really bad in his chair. But you know he is a busy guy and who knows when the last time he got some sleep was.
So overall I was pleased with the service I was given. He gave me a book with lot's of info in it, and tons of brochures. Afterwards Chuck and I went to Target so I could try and find some shirts that would fit me a little better. I wasn't feeling to sick, so we walked around for an hour and I think that is one of the biggest outings I have had in ages.

Well that is all for now. Love you all

Did I miss anything?

So even though I am Uber excited to be a mommy....I am also wondering if I am getting the right things for baby. Chuck and I have been slowly buying things so when baby did come we weren't slammed with a huge bill....because let's be honest These little things are cute and all that, but they sure cost a pretty penny! lol

So a while ago I created a wish list on Amazon for me when I figured out how. Then I made another on the same account for baby. It is called Riley Patrick's Wish List. Here is the link: http://www.amazon.com/wishlist/YHV90GHOZQ8I/ref=cm_sw_em_r_wl

I am not sure if I am leaving anything vital out. I mean sure there are some cute little things on there for fun...But I mean the real stuff that I can't live without. I am worried I am clueless, and will miss something that baby really needs. I made another wish list at Baby's R US, and did pretty much the same thing. Here is the link:
http://www.toysrus.com/wishlist/search/index.jsp?_flowExecutionKey=_cEE86CBF4-AF59-B8CE-C493-25D9181AB523_kD94A1F37-DB03-E9F7-34C1-A3434D2C412B&overrideStore=TRUS

The Baby's R Us one is where we get most of our stuff. We are decorating in a safari theme in the nursery, and are excited....but am I forgetting anything on the lists?

So what I am asking is if my friends wouldn't mind telling me what they can't live without, and if I have left anything off of the lists.. Thanks everyone....love you tons!! ;0)

First sight of Baby!!!

Here is just a cheap little vid of baby....it's not good, but hey it's better than nothing. I will blog tomorrow about all of this. But I am just to tired today.

Love you all
XoXo-Andrea Carla

What kind of wolrd is this?

So this evening I wanted crap to eat. Yes I wanted something completely unhealthy to eat. So I ordered some stuffed crust pizza from Pizza Hut, and my wonderful husband ran to get it. I had some Pepperoni and sausage with amazing bread sticks and some sprite. It tasted amazing! Really it tasted....wow. There really isn't any words to describe the goodness to be had. We watched a show on the History Channel about guns with the foul mouth himself Gunnery Sgt. R. Lee Ermey. Here is a link to his site....don't skip the intro he is funny. He does the show Mail Call if you have ever seen it. ;0) www.rleeermey.com

So...after dinner I started to not feel good, and real fast. Well to make a short story even shorter.....The pizza didn't last. ;0( Yah I was bummed. But on the upside it didn't taste as horrid as it normally does....It tasted like pizza! lol Sorry was that TMI for you? lol Well while this was all going on, A gigantic spider crawled out of the AC vent and thought it would try to say hello!! ;-O If you know me, you know that I hate spiders....I will call Chuck in from another room just to kill it for me. But it was either call him in while I am barfing, or suck it up and kill the thing myself! So I squashed it's hopes and dreams of leading a full life, and flushed him down the toilet. Sorry!

Well after I got calmed down I drank a little milk then went and sat in the shower. I came out and Chuck was passed out asleep. I crawled in bed and read a little Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. Then I thought I would treat myself to a mint kiss to help calm the tummy. When I opened my nightstand drawer....I saw my pink playdough. Now I have to warn you. I love playdough. I have never outgrown the stuff! I mean really who does out grow it? Some might forget it's goodness if they don't play with it, but no one really ever outgrows playdough! This stuff is great! It smells awesome, is fun and soothing to play with, and the smell brings back fun childhood memories. So I pulled out the little jar of it, and opened it up to take a big whiff.

It didn't smell right! I thought of waking Chuck and asking him to smell it. I mean this felt like an emergency!! How can playdough not smell right? It smells a little like the same, but it just isn't the same! What is the world coming to? This is so sad. I mean how is life supposed to go on without the goodness of the smells of playdough?

This just shows that this baby has moved in, and is taking over! Alas...what is a girl to do? Well I should try to sleep. It's almost 2 a.m.!!

Love you all!!
