Marine of the Year!

If you know Chuck, you know that he is a really hard worker. The Marine Corps comes first in our marriage. He always takes care of his Marines, and will answer his phone for them no matter what time of day or night it is. He will always drop anything he is doing to help one of his Marines. It can be challenging at times, but he is a good Marine, and a Great Leader!! Well it seems lately all his hard work and our sacrifice to the corps is paying off. He picked up Ssgt. and Now he was named Marine, or NCO of the Year.
Thursday evening we drove to Brentwood in the pouring rain. It took us 1 hour and 15 minutes to get there, because of the rain and traffic. We arrived right on time, and walked into the hall for the meeting and award. Chuck's 1st. Sgt. came to present the plaque, and his wife attended as well. The hall was cold and we were all freezing pretty bad. The presentation only took a few minutes, and a few people said a couple of good words about Chuck who have had the opportunity to work with him. Chuck said a few words, and then they let us go so we wouldn't have to sit through the rest of the meeting. On our way home we were going to stop at Olive Garden for the breadsticks!! I have been aching to go for about a year now, but we don't have one close by. So I got the directions out, and then Chuck changed his mind and decided he wanted to go to this buffet in the mall called Todai. The trip home took a total of 25 minutes. lol
Todai was not so good. Chuck thought it was all right, but I thought it was rather nasty. But I want you all to be proud of me for trying 4 new things. If you know me at all, then you know that when I eat food I stick to what I know. I do not like to try new things because I do not like to pay for food that I might not like or eat. I think it is better if I just eat the things I know I like. Then no one wastes any money. Well I tried 3 things of sushi and wasabi!!! Well I thought it was all really nasty! I tried Eel sushi, a california roll, and a immitaiton crab roll. And Clint you should die for telling me to eat all the wasabi (sp?) that I can. No one told me you eat it with stuff. So I just took a big bite of it! It hurt!!! It burned!!! I felt like crying and puking!!! It was soooo wrong!!
Chuck ate a little crawfish guy! I wouldn't eat anything else, so I ended up posing him on my plate, and taking his picture!
All in all I would give the restaurant 2 thumbs down! I wanted to get an ice cream cone on the way out, but you serve it your self, and I am not so good at that...I usually end up flipping it out of the container..lol So I opted to stop in the little girls room on the way out and wash the ole hands. And look what I found.....I laughed pretty hard! Maybe parents should install one at home. Then walk away. It would be a great punishment chair!!!

lol Well here are some photos of Chuk's award.... I hope you enjoy!!
